Activities Director Extended Care

The Director of Activities plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the Activities Programs at Extended Care in accordance with existing federal, state, and local standards.  The Director is responsible for assuring that the programs meet the spiritual, recreational, intellectual, work and service needs of residents living in the skilled nursing facility and actively participants in the QA process as assigned.  Oversees the activity aides within the department consisting of hiring, training, scheduling, delegating, supervising, and evaluating personnel who assist with all department tasks as deemed appropriate.  Cross-train as Certified Nurse Aide and have ability to complete duties assigned to that job description.  The director oversees the volunteer program for the Extended Care facility.  This position requires a degree in Recreational Therapy or Occupational Therapy with 1 year of experience in a long term care setting.  Must obtain certification as Activity Director or Montana license as an OT or COTA with dementia training.
