Cancer Care Director

The Cancer Care Director position is under the supervision of the Senior Executive of Physician Services and is responsible for coordination of the Cancer Center at Sidney Health Center. The Director serves as the leading resource of the department, and collaborates with others to advance the quality for patient care utilizing the Studer principles. The Director ensures that strategies, priorities and operations with the Cancer Center are aligned and complimentary for a systematic approach to oncology services. The job responsibilities include hiring and evaluating for all positions in the medical and radiation oncology, purchasing equipment, delegating responsibilities, setting goals for medical oncology, radiation oncology, and making sure the all areas operate within the guidelines of all federal, state, and local laws. The Director is responsible for running all the business affairs and clinical oversight of the department, including clinic care delivery services, quality and safety, finance, employee engagement, marketing and growth. The overall goal of the Director is to continue to the build the program utilizing recommended process improvements presented by ASCO consulting, with involvement of physicians and staff, for program quality improvement processes to ensure the facility runs efficiently and positively for the patients, health care professionals, and families. The Cancer Care Director must have excellent leadership, clinical operations experience and interpersonal communication skills. This position requires 1-5 years of experience with a Bachelor?s Degree in Healthcare, Business or other related field.  Sidney Health Center offers competitive wages and benefits.
