The Position: Director Food Services
Employment Status: FT
Hours per two-week pay-period: 80
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for planning, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Food Service Department
- Assures that quality food and nutrition services are provided daily to Acute Care patients, Extended Care Residents, staff, and visitors.
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facility food service supplies including estimates on equipment, food, supplies, and other related costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have five years management or equivalent experience in healthcare food services. Registered Dietitian, Certified Dietary Manager, and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Position Summary:
Sidney Health Center is seeking a Food Services Director to join our I CARE team in the Food Service department setting. Essential duties of the position include Assures that quality food and nutrition services are provided daily to Acute Care patients, Extended Care Residents, staff, and visitors. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary Food Service Department. Operates in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility food service supplies including estimates on equipment, food, supplies, and other related costs. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with food service employees and with other departments to provide a positive food service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees. Works closely with Dietitian to ensure diets meet IDDSI requirements. Responsible for developing a stable, competent workforce and encouraging growth of personnel.
